The 50th Anniversary of Earth Day deserved a celebration like never before. And with the world at home in the midst of a global pandemic — that’s exactly what it got — as EarthX brought our annual event to its largest audience ever through a virtual livestream reaching all corners of the globe.
On April 22, 2020, the world tuned in for this environmental event of a lifetime. Conservatives and Liberals. Democrats and Republicans. Activists with different viewpoints, all sharing a vision for a healthy and sustainable planet.
There were interactive conferences sparking great discussions. New films documenting a need for collective action. And immersive content with hours upon hours of thought-provoking material.
And at the end of it all a new television platform was born. Welcome to EarthxTV.
EXPO is a major annual public event held around Earth Day in April to celebrate progress, hope, and innovation. Topping 137,000 in 2018, it has grown to become the largest event in the world of its kind. EXPO-Earthx2019 brings together environmental organizations, businesses, academic institutions, government agencies, speakers, interactive programming, and subject matter experts along with live music, art and food. EarthX creates a fun and engaging atmosphere for thought and experiential learning.
