Inland Ocean Action Summit

The IOAS, organized by Blue Frontier, the Inland Ocean Coalition and EarthX will draw ocean activists from inland areas of the United States to help raise the profile of marine conservation so that the ocean cause is no longer seen as simply a coastal cause by policymakers and others, but as a topic of national and global scope and significance.

The IOAS will be the first opportunity for the Inland Ocean Coalition and other inland ocean advocates to come together to learn and network during a number of speakers, panels, and workshops. This first day will be followed up with the Rachel Carson Banquet with Fabien Cousteau and opportunity for networking and the second day will be divided between a professional ‘Blue Beat’ media training and an Inland Ocean Coalition national chapters meeting.
