Dan Mueller is a Senior Manager at EDF focusing on developing and executing strategies addressing water-related issues including impacts from oil and gas exploration and production.
Dan Mueller is a registered professional engineer with over 35 years of experience in the environmental field including water resource evaluations and management (surface water and groundwater); and industrial waste treatment and disposal. Dan has significant experience in the oil and gas sector with projects addressing water treatment and management issues; underground gas storage; and carbon capture, utilization, and storage.
He is currently working with industry partners as well as academics to further understanding of the chemical characterization of oil and gas wastewater and robust treatment technologies required for possible recycling and reuse of these waters.
He is an active member in a number of professional associations including the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Water Environment Federation, American Water Resources Association, and the Air & Waste Management Association.
