Dr. Gerald Durley is Chair of the Board of Interfaith Power and Light the nation’s largest interfaith environmental organization in 4 states comprised of 22, congregations, temples, and mosques. Dr. Durley is a psychologist and the former dean at Clark Atlanta University and the Morehouse School of Medicine. He is the Pastor Emeritus of Providence Baptist Church. For more than a decade our speaker has been combining faith with his background as a civil rights activist, who worked with Dr. Martin L. King, JR., to challenge the impact of climate change, global warming, and environmental justice on the environment.

He is a much sought after speaker, all over the world, to consult on climate change with scientists, elected officials, business people, faith leaders, and communities. Dr. Durley is the recipient of the prestigious “White House Campion of Change Award; Captain Planet’s Exemplar Award; and the Trailblazer Award in Climate Change. He is on numerous national boards and believes that “Climate Change is The Civil Rights Issue” of today.
