Throughout her career, Soledad has sought to enhance corporate responsibility and sustainable development through systemic change and industry transformation. Soledad has managed due diligence programs using a wide range of international standards and codes of conduct for global financial institutions, Fortune500 companies, and development agencies. For the last decade, Soledad has applied her expertise in international human rights, standards and compliance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement to the energy and extractives sector. At Equitable Origin, Soledad oversees the development of social and environmental performance metrics and assurance protocols for the world’s first certification system for responsible oil and gas production, the EO100™ Standard for Responsible Energy Development. Soledad also stewarded the development of the EO100™ Technical Addendum for Shale Oil and Gas Operations through Equitable Origin’s Technical Committee, outreach to key stakeholders, and public consultation processes. Soledad was instrumental in securing the certification of a natural gas supplier that resulted in the first transaction executed under the EO100™ framework, establishing a new standard for transparency across the energy value chain and proving a market for certified-responsible energy.
