About
EarthxEDU

EarthX is dedicated to discovering, researching and innovating practices that impact and reshape our world through environmental education and awareness.

To create a sustainable future, we must educate our students on the impact that our actions have on our world today.

The goal of this curriculum is to create projects that guide students to understand our Earth, human impact and their role in creating a sustainable future.

Student Exhibits at EXPO Earthx2020

EarthX offers opportunities for young students to be a part of creating a wonderful opportunity to exhibit their ideas and innovations and interact with other like minded community members. They can explore green careers and college programs and earn service learning hours while helping to create awareness for sustainability and conservation of our planet’s resources.

Student Field Trips

Attention Parents, Teachers and School Administrators:

Bring your class or the entire school for a field trip to EXPO-EarthX2020. It is a learning environment that will get them excited about protecting the earth and teach them hundreds of ways they can make it a part of their lives.

  • Virtual Reality
  • Film Screenings
  • Tree Climbing
  • Scuba Diving
  • Robotics & Technology
  • Educational Workshops
  • And much more!

Volunteer

Teachers, here’s an opportunity to get yourself and your students engaged and involved in Earthx2020 and earn volunteer and community service hours while learning about the latest eco-‐friendly initiatives, discoveries, research, innovations, policies, and practices reshaping our world.

This year EarthX expects to break all previous attendance records and we need volunteers to work with programs and activities appealing to a wide range of knowledge levels and interests – from providing logistics support at events to enlightening children on how best to make a positive difference in the world.

Take the EarthX pledge to Strike Out Straws

Over 500 million plastic straws are used every day in the U.S. Once they are discarded, single-use plastic straws, which are made from petroleum, require over 200 years to break down, which effectively adds to plastic debris in our landfills and the plastic already covering one third of the world’s oceans.

Add your name to our list of environmentally conscious businesses and Earthlings who are determined to remove single-use plastics from the environment.

EarthxFilm 2020 Youth Film Competition

HOW WILL YOU CHANGE THE WORLD?

Each year EarthxFilm holds film competitions on Earth Day.

To enter, youth filmmakers can make a short film that is 50 seconds or less that addresses contest topic(s) announced by EarthxFilm on this website and through social media. Student filmmakers then submit their film entries.

Enter now through October 1, 2019 for your chance to compete for $3500 in cash prizes and an opportunity to screen your film at an EarthX Half Earth Day Event. The competition is open to youth ages 11-22.  Of note: In a new category, teachers for students in grades 1-5 may enter one or more films created by students as class projects. Cash Prizes for all class projects will be awarded to the school, club or organization not individual students or teachers.  Individual Grand Prize is $1000. A $1000 prize will be awarded to the school, summer camp or organization that has the most entries. For rules and to enter go to https://www.planet911.org.  Enter by July 15th to be eligible for the Early Bird prize drawing.
