EarthxYouth Reports

EarthxYouth Reports is a video series produced by EarthxFilm for the virtual EarthxFilm Festival (April 22-27, 2020) in celebration of the 50th anniversary Earth Day. EarthxYouth Anchors (ages 10-22) had the opportunity to interview environmental experts, climate activists, and planet heroes through Zoom. Planet911 Reporters (ages 10-22) submitted short videos showcasing various environmental issues impacting their community and were included in the virtual EarthxFilm Festival showcase. Environmental experts had the opportunity to be interviewed and to share their knowledge with our EarthxYouth Anchors.

Some of our reports include interviews with youth activists like Taegen Yardley and youth from One Up Action, Earth Guardians, March For Science, Zero Hour, The Story of Plastic Filmmaker Deia Schosberg and Perfect World Foundation Co-Founder Lars Jacobsson.

Be a part of the EarthxFilmYouth Reports team as a Planet911 Reporter.

EarthxYouth Cub Reporters will Return in 2021.

Would you like to be a hero for our planet and help tell an exhibitor’s green story during EarthX?
The Planet is Calling You! Will you answer the call?

EarthxYouth pairs Cub Reporters, students ages 10-22, with professional video teams. Each team helps educate youth about the basics of storytelling and video production. Youth who are interested in interviewing, reporting, filming with a camera or working as a production assistant will receive a hands-on experience that encourages their passion to make an impact.

To participate, youth under 18 must have a signed parental waiver on file if not participating during a field trip. The experience will take approximately 45 minutes.

The finished news-style promos will be about 1-minute and can be used by exhibitors to promote themselves on social media. Check out some of last year’s videos here!

Student Field Trips

Attention Parents, Teachers and School Administrators:

Bring your class or the entire school for a field trip to EXPO Earthx2021. It is a learning environment that will get them excited about protecting the earth and teach them hundreds of ways they can make it a part of their lives.

  • Virtual Reality
  • Film Screenings
  • Tree Climbing
  • Scuba Diving
  • Robotics & Technology
  • Educational Workshops
  • And much more!

Student Exhibits at EXPO Earthx2021

EarthX offers students a wonderful opportunity to exhibit their solutions and innovations to environmental problems as well as interact with other like-minded community members during the Expo. While there, they can also explore green careers and college programs as they help to create awareness for sustainability and conservation of our planet’s resources.

Join Us For EarthxHack

EarthxHack is a hackathon designed to inspire you to use technology to solve real issues plaguing the world today. We want to provide a space to help inspire creative thinking, so you can create inspirational ideas that can be implemented on a global scale. We encourage you to come and join us make new things!

We look forward to hosting you at EarthxHack, taking place at the world’s largest environmental experience, Earthx2020. Join us to show off your skills, meet amazing people and help make a difference for the future.

Teachers, here’s an opportunity to get yourself and your students engaged and involved in Earthx2021 and earn volunteer and community service hours while learning about the latest eco-‐friendly initiatives, discoveries, research, innovations, policies, and practices reshaping our world.

This year EarthX expects to break all previous attendance records and we need volunteers to work with programs and activities appealing to a wide range of knowledge levels and interests – from providing logistics support at events to enlightening children on how best to make a positive difference in the world.

Go “No Containers” Loco.

Pledge to Give Up Styrofoam & Plastic Containers.

The world is using a crazy amount of plastic to-go containers that end up in our oceans and landfills - millions every day! Let’s say NO to styrofoam and plastic COntainers and redirect all that effort and energy towards finding better solutions that use biodegradable and low-impact re-usable materials.

Take the pledge to GO NOCO LOCO!

Go NoCo Loco

Take the EarthX pledge to Strike Out Straws

Over 500 million plastic straws are used every day in the U.S. Once they are discarded, single-use plastic straws, which are made from petroleum, require over 200 years to break down, which effectively adds to plastic debris in our landfills and the plastic already covering one third of the world’s oceans.

Add your name to our list of environmentally conscious businesses and Earthlings who are determined to remove single-use plastics from the environment.
