Description: Part coming-of-age tale, part crime thriller, this Academy Award nominated story about radicalized environmental activists tests how we define terrorism. The tumultuous period between 1995 and 2001 birthed extreme groups like ELF, Earth Liberation Front, who forcefully challenged the lumber companies for destroying the environment gaining them notoriety and FBI attention. What begins as a series of organized protests quickly expands to arson and property damage earning the young activists life sentences and a label as America’s “number one domestic terrorism threat.” Perspectives clash during this recount as we follow ELF members and the law enforcement agents hell-bent on stopping them. But as things quickly get out of hand, everyone involved can agree on one truth: there is a better way to fight for our precious planet.
