Program Description: Forces for Nature is a program with world renowned explorers, adventurers, activists, innovators, and celebrities narrating stories about adventures and experiences which have shaped views on the planet and its survival. Episode Description: Ben Lecomte is no stranger to our oceans. He swam the Atlantic ocean in 1998, 20 years later, he braved the water again this time swimming the Pacific all to raise awareness for ocean health. During this historic swim, Ben Lecomte swam through the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a large collection of marine trash floating between Japan and the United States. Hear first hand this amazing story, from encounters with Sperm Whales, swimming with dolphins, the trials of long distance swimming 8 hours a day.
