Saving Turtles: Trinity River Clean Up

November 16, 2019 - November 17, 2019

Free
Saving Turtles: Trinity River Clean Up EarthxStories

Your work will help turtles here and even endangered sea turtles 700+ miles away in the Gulf of Mexico.

Conservation starts here at home. Have fun with colleagues and meet new friends while removing litter pollution from the Trinity River. About 18 million tons of plastic pollution enter the seas every year through urban waterways; it’s turning the ocean into a minefield for wildlife. Every single piece of litter pollution removed, counts. Local turtles benefit and even sea turtles 700 miles downstream are protected by your work.

Because of the physical nature of this activity, it’s most appropriate for those over the age of 6. We recommend wearing long sleeves and pants and close-toed shoes. Making a difference can be messy, so keep the mud in mind!

Clean up will be hosted from 8:30 – 11 AM.
