“The Republic of Palau is committed to creating a cleaner, more resilient energy infrastructure,” said President Tommy Remengesau. “I am thrilled to be launching the initiative with GridMarket and EarthX.”

Using the GridMarket platform, the project will use financing structures, implementation programs, and predictive analytics to carry out a wide range of energy conservation projects in government buildings, commercial properties, and residential areas. “We want Palau’s goals for 2025 to be just the beginning of a new energy future for the country,” said Nick Davis, GridMarket CEO. “Palau will improve its resilience and provide its citizens with more reliable access to power in the face of natural disasters.”

“Palau will be a model for small island nations across the globe looking to implement renewables, strengthen resilience, and transition their economies away from a dependence on imported fossil fuels,” said Trammell S. Crow, founder of EarthX. EarthX is proud to partner with GridMarket in working towards a cleaner energy infrastructure for the Republic of Palau.
