DALLAS (October 29, 2020) EarthxTV launches EarthxCEO — a series of talks where CEOs share how they’ve been able to double their bottom line while leading their entities toward more resilient and sustainable solutions. They discuss the struggles encountered and victories won along the way.
The first four speakers include Microsoft’s Brad Smith, US Cement’s Jamie Gentoso, Calpine Energy’s Thad Hill, and Perdue Farms’ Jim Perdue. The next episode will be Jim Perdue on November 4th.
Talks are hosted by Bob Perciasepe, President of the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES). Mr. Perciasepe — in addition to being a respected expert on environmental stewardship, natural resource management, and public policy — has a reputation for bringing stakeholders together to find solutions.
Brad Smith, President and Chief Legal Officer of Microsoft, leads a team at the intersection of technology and society, touching issues including cybersecurity, privacy, ethics and artificial intelligence, human rights, immigration, philanthropy, and environmental sustainability.
Jamie Gentoso, Chief Executive Officer of US Cement, has proven an accomplished leader and professional engineer, managing all cement product lines, and overseeing an organization of around 3,200 employees, 13 cement and grinding plants, and more than 100 cement terminals.
Jim Perdue, Chairman of Perdue Farms, works to ensure that the company his grandfather founded continues to build on its strong corporate responsibility programs, focusing mostly on animal care and farmer relationships.
Thad Hill, President and CEO of Calpine Energy, has held top roles in the company since 2008. He has worked in and around the energy sector in various leadership capacities for over two decades.
