Earth Day with EarthX is fun for the whole family! We have TONS of kid-friendly activities including petting zoos, planting seeds, scuba diving, movies, and more. Here’s our top 10 reasons why your children would love our event!

  1. Professional instructors help kids climb tall oak trees safely with ropes and harnesses in Fair Park.Screen Shot 2018-03-26 at 12.21.46 PM
  2. In the GO DIVE NOW pool, both kids and adults can learn how to scuba dive! What better way to learn about the ocean than to learn how to explore the ocean first-hand.
  3. Who doesn’t love scavenger hunts? Everyone will enjoy our guided tour through the EarthX2018 Expo. For every participant who completes the scavenger hunt, EarthX in conjunction with Trees for the Future, will plant a tree.
  4. There will be a petting zoo at EarthX this year! So your child can get more one-on-one learning experiences with animals!
  5. Experience EarthxInteractive with our virtual and mixed reality. Discover your individual footprint on the planet, diving in Belize, or even life as a tree in the rainforest.
  6. EarthxKids presented by Once Kids & DFWChild features eco-friendly nontoxic wooden blocks that promote creativity by having each toy be customizable!Screen Shot 2018-02-23 at 2.58.49 PM
  7. The E-Bike Test Track has demo bikes for everyone to try and there will be experts standing by ready to answer your questions about the new technology!
  8. Learn about nature and plants at the Great Seed Bomb. This hands-on activity allows children to make seeds balls using native wildflower seeds, compost, and clay. Participation in making seed bombs helps spread habitat for pollinators like monarch butterflies and native bees. Come help us break the record for most seed balls made!
  9. The EarthxEDU program encourages children to learn about smartphone and green-themed filmmaking, create an environmental film, and enjoy interactive play via a fun scavenger hunt and virtual reality experience.
  10. EarthxFilm also has plenty of family-friendly short films or feature-length films with topics such as wild horses, lions, birds of prey, oceans, and food waste.
