The Rotary Experience kicks off Monday morning, focusing on engaging students and young adults in sustainability and environmental stewardship. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the exciting competitions and projects:

Short Film Competitions

Participants will create films in various environmental and sustainability categories:

• Coral Reefs
• Trees
• Recycling
• Plastics
• River and Ocean Cleanups
• Climate Change

Grow Your Leadership Prototype Competition-This competition invites middle school, high school, and college students to develop sustainable prototypes addressing challenges in food access, nutrition, and environmental stewardship. Inspired by Make48, this hands-on event fosters learning, innovation, and problem-solving, aligning with Rotary’s values of service and sustainability.

Food Urban-Tree Scape Challenge-In collaboration with Independence Gardens, this challenge brings together mayors from the DFW area and local Interact and Rotaract members. Teams will plant fruit-bearing and food-producing trees in urban spaces, promoting food sustainability and intergenerational collaboration to build healthier, more resilient communities.
