Trammell S. Crow

Trammell S. Crow is a Texan businessman, entrepreneur and innovative leader. Trammell is the founder of EarthX, an international nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to educating and inspiring people and organizations to take action towards a more sustainable future worldwide. Under Mr. Crow’s leadership, EarthX’s signature event has become the largest annual environmental event in the world with over 177,000 attendees, 2,000 environmental leaders, 700 exhibitors and 450 speakers in 2019. EarthX launched EarthxTV in September 2020 and is a member of IUCN, International Union for Conservation of Nature. With a focus on inspiring environmental leadership across sectors and party lines, Mr. Crow serves on the board of directors for ConservAmerica and co-founder of Texas Business for Clean Air and Texans for Clean Water. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions – C2ES, successor to the Pew Center on Global Climate Change, which is dedicated to advancing strong policy and action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promote clean energy, and strengthen resilience to climate impacts. Mr. Crow serves on the Board of Directors of Space Center Houston and the American Renewable Energy Institute and is on the Advisory Board of Environmental Defense Fund Texas and Texas Land Conservancy, among others. He is also a member of the Clean Capitalist Leadership Council which offers a trans-partisan fellowship of leading clean capitalists, free market and conservation donors, and green conservatives, focused on smart policy innovation. He is also a co-founder of In This Together which is a campaign to help save the environment and repair our democracy by growing a diverse bipartisan community of America’s silenced majority: common sense problem-solvers. He is also a member of the National Petroleum Council and has committed to protect 250,000 acres of forest in Suriname. Earlier in his career, Trammell ran Dallas Market Center, developed Infomart, developed Dallas Communications Center, the Studios at Las Colinas and DFW Teleport, served as President of Trammell Crow International developments in France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, United Kingdom, Japan and Peoples Republic of China. In 2019, Mr. Crow was awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor which recognizes American citizens who have made the pursuit of freedom, liberty, and compassion a part of their life’s work. The son of Trammell and Margaret, the former being the founder of the Trammell Crow Company, Mr. Crow continues their commitment to philanthropy. His philanthropy benefits various nonprofit organizations that are active in education, the environment, family planning, community development and political causes. Crow’s passion for art extends to his role as the founding president of the Crow Family Foundation and leading the Crow Museum of Asian Art now part of the University of Texas at Dallas.
