EarthX is proud to sponsor Mexico por el Clima Week, October 5-9 in Mexico City, Mexico.

Author: Daniela A. Ruiz

A new multisectoral gathering in Mexico City brings together leaders, innovators, communities, and organizations working toward a more just, resilient, and sustainable future. Climate action requires more than individual commitments. It requires connection — across sectors, communities, disciplines, and borders.

That belief is at the heart of EarthX’s partnership with México por el Clima, an unprecedented multisectoral gathering designed to strengthen collaboration and position Mexico as a key player in the global climate agenda.

Taking place in Mexico City at El Papalote Children’s Museum, México por el Clima will create a space for dialogue, learning, and collective inspiration, bringing together stakeholders from across Mexico and around the world to build synergies and advance concrete commitments toward a just, resilient, and urgent transition to a sustainable future.

The initiative is being carried out in collaboration with more than 100 national and international stakeholders, including The Climate Group, Climate Week LATAM, and the United Nations in Mexico.

Looking Inward to Build Forward

At the center of México por el Clima is a recognition that meaningful global action begins with understanding the places and communities where change happens.

As Erica Valencia, Executive Director, explains: “There had to be a space that would allow us to look at ourselves anew, to understand how we relate to one another, how we collaborate, how we weave networks, and how we sustain collective life.”

Before looking outward and positioning Mexico within the global climate conversation, México por el Clima emphasizes looking inward — reconnecting with local communities, cities, ecosystems, bioregions, public spaces, organizations, and sectors that too often operate separately.

The challenge is not simply to bring more people to the table. It is to create the conditions for those people to build together.

That perspective aligns closely with EarthX’s mission of connecting thought leaders, building networks, and pioneering the future. Through this partnership, EarthX and México por el Clima are creating another bridge between international climate leadership and the local ecosystems where solutions must take root.

Four Pathways for Transformation

México por el Clima is organized around a vision of transformation that recognizes climate action as both an environmental and societal challenge.

  1. Awakening: Creating a new collective consciousness rooted in education, well-being, leadership, and climate justice. Awakening is about transforming how we understand our relationship with one another and with the planet — and using that understanding to transform the present.
  1. Planetary Innovation: Driving transformation through technology, entrepreneurship, and climate solutions that support a regenerative economy. Innovation is not simply about developing new technologies. It is about connecting ideas, investment, entrepreneurship, and human ingenuity to the urgent challenges facing our communities and planet.
  1. Catalytic: Creating the connections and collaborations that can turn ideas into action and commitments. When organizations, businesses, governments, communities, investors, scientists, and changemakers work across traditional boundaries, new opportunities for impact emerge. México por el Clima is designed to be a catalyst for those connections.
  2. Resilient Ecosystems: Restoring and protecting nature to ensure water, biodiversity, and healthy territories that sustain life.Resilience begins with healthy ecosystems. Protecting the natural systems that support communities is fundamental to building a future capable of withstanding the impacts of a changing climate.

For EarthX, the partnership reflects the importance of building stronger international networks around climate solutions and creating platforms where diverse voices can exchange ideas, develop relationships, and catalyze action.
México por el Clima represents an important step in that direction — bringing together a growing network of stakeholders to imagine what is possible and, more importantly, to begin building it together.
