Sabine Gaedeke Stener is an investment leader and serves as Chief Executive Officer of Elbe River Partners, a family-owned investment firm focused on long-term value creation across real estate, energy, private equity, and credit. She brings a permanent-capital mindset and an institutional approach to governance, underwriting, and strategic growth.
She co-founded Gaedeke Group in Dallas, Texas in 1995 and has served as CEO since 2005, leading the firm’s evolution into a nationally recognized real estate owner-operator. She also founded Gaedeke Energy and Gaedeke Ventures, reflecting a broader, diversified investment strategy.
Born and raised in Germany, Sabine holds a graduate degree in Economics and postgraduate degrees in Marketing, Psychology, and International Management from the University of Hamburg. Her early career included roles at BBDO and as Marketing Director for a television venture of Bertelsmann AG, experiences that continue to inform her strategic and international leadership.
Sabine is actively engaged in civic, academic, and industry leadership. She serves on the boards of SMU’s Tate Lecture Series, the Mixed-Use Council of the Urban Land Institute, Klyde Warren Park, and the USA Film Festival, and is affiliated with the Real Estate Forum of the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate at Columbia Business School, where she was featured on the Real Estate Forum podcast discussing transatlantic family-office strategy and wellness-driven real estate. She is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and the German-American Chamber of Commerce South (GACC South), and previously served in advisory roles with UT Southwestern Medical Center.
