Paul Quinn College

Dallas’ Paul Quinn College and GridMarket announced a strategic plan at Earthx2019 to bring cost-effective Energy procurement, valuable infrastructure upgrades, and renewable energy generation to their campus.

The first phase will entail a 30-year solar power purchase agreement that will enable the college to achieve their progressive energy
and sustainability targets while maintaining a net-positive revenue. GridMarket provided PQC with the framework for an optimized energy plan and connected the school with a local marketplace solar development firm Go Big Solar.

The first stage of the on-site generation alone will save 248.5 tons of carbon dioxide – and the project will provide Paul Quinn with 25 percent of its energy needs over its lifetime. Now, PQC and GridMarket are continuing to explore additional renewable energy solutions to deploy in an effort to move towards a more carbon- neutral arrangement in the future.
