The opening night of Earthx2026 is devoted to the cultural dimension of environmental progress—an evening that explores how storytelling, art, and publi imagination shape the way we see, value, and ultimately protect the natural world.

The evening is anchored by the presentation of the inaugural: Earth Ambassador Award

This award honors individuals who have used the power of storytelling, art, entertainment, and culture to move hearts toward the planet—transforming audiences into advocates, and awareness into action. These are voices that invite rather than instruct, that inspire rather than alarm, and that expand the circle of people who feel a deep, personal connection to the Earth.

The 2026 recipient is Ed Begley Jr., whose decades-long commitment to environmental stewardship—expressed through humor, authenticity, and lived example—has helped redefine what it means to lead by influence.
Through a curated program of humor, music, and conversation, the evening invites guests to consider a defining question for the next era of environmental leadership: Who tells the story of our future—and what kind of future are we willing to imagine?

Featuring:

Ed Begley Jr.

Whether installing solar panels, biking across Los Angeles, or rethinking daily life through a sustainability lens, Begley has made a career—and a life—out of proving that practical environmentalism can be both impactful and deeply human. He has consistently used his platform, his voice, and his example to move the conversation—and the culture—forward.

Torrei Hart (Emcee):

Torrei plays a variety of roles that let her express her animated, sassy but always keeping it classy personality. She has performed alongside heavy-hitters like Martin Lawrence, Katt Williams, Alex Thomas, Chris Spencer and hosted the Wendy Williams Foundation 10 year Anniversary Gala.

Rachelle Carson Begley

Alongside her husband, Ed Begley Jr., she has helped build a life rooted in sustainability—balancing family, career, and a deeply personal commitment to living lighter on the planet.
Now stepping into her own spotlight, Carson-Begley brings wit, glamour, and a sharp cultural instinct to the conversation—reframing sustainability as not just necessary, but aspirational. With humor and style, she’s proving that environmental responsibility and modern living aren’t at odds—they’re the future.

Raha Dixon
