Elizabeth Hartman

Beth Hartman is Chief of Staff for the CEO and a Manager in the Electricity Practice at the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), where she supports a variety of initiatives focused on innovation in the energy industry including the eLab Accelerator and several utility projects with ComEd, Duke Energy and others. Prior to joining RMI Beth spent 4 years at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) working in partnership with the Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) to lead the Incubatenergy Network, a community of over 20 clean energy incubators and accelerators that have collectively supported more than 500 startup companies focused on solutions for transitioning to a more sustainable economy.

Prior to joining EPRI she was a Senior Analyst at E Source where her research focused on utility customer engagement and marketing strategies, and before E Source she worked as Marketing Manager at Simple Energy after the company completed the Techstars Boulder program. Beth has a master’s degree from the University of Colorado and completed a year-long fellowship at the Silicon Flatirons Center in the CU Law School where she managed the CU New Venture Challenge student business plan competition and published reports on topics including smart grid, privacy and entrepreneurship.
