Dr. Friday has served as a global leader at the intersection of diplomacy, finance, and impact for decades. He previously served as Grenada’s Ambassador to the United Nations and United States, while also serving as the Chair of the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) – the UN’s intergovernmental body representing 39 small island developing states. He has also served in several prominent leadership roles at global institutions, including the World Bank as its Ocean Representative. Dr. Friday is the Executive Chairman of Atlantean Ltd., a London-based company developing the A.I. enabled Azuros platform to support sustainable financing for island and coastal developing nations.

Lord Fakafanua serves as the Speaker of Parliament for the Kingdom of Tonga. At the age of 24, he became one of the youngest-ever members of Parliament in Tongan history. Three years later, he assumed the role of Speaker of Parliament as the youngest person ever elected to that office by Tonga’s Parliament and the youngest presiding Speaker in the world. Over the course of his political career, Fakafanua has spearheaded monumental changes in the Tongan Parliament, presiding over major political reforms and advocating for greater representation of women and youth in Parliament.
