Earthx2025 New Perspectives on Texas Conservation
April 23, 2025 | Hilton Anatole, Dallas TX
Conference Overview
EARTHX 2023 EXPO NOW IN PROGRESS!
According to Texas A&M University’s Natural Resources Institute, Texas is home to eight of the 15 fastest-growing cities in the U.S. Between 1997 and 2022, its population surged 55%, adding 11 million residents–nearly 1,100 per day.
This explosive growth comes at a cost: from 2017 to 2022, Texas saw 1.8 million acres of working lands converted to non-agricultural uses, which put immense pressure on wildlife, land, and water resources. Sessions will include expert talks on conservation strategies, recognizing how these challenges are connected.
These solutions can continue beyond the conference and help bolster environmental conservation efforts in Texas.

This conversation is held in collaboration with Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF). For more than 30 years, TPWF has worked to conserve Texas’ wild things and wild places. Their work in tackling Texas’ greatest conservation challenges has led to the restoration of habitats from the waters off the Gulf Coast to the mountains of West Texas.
Their investment in science-based efforts has helped restore and maintain healthy populations of native species. This includes pronghorn, quail, redfish, and more. TPWF is committed to conserving the very nature of Texas by safeguarding our lands, waters, and wildlife for the benefit of present and future Texans.
